Brooky Danger spreads positivity

Reggae artiste Brooky Danger is making waves in Jamaica and across the diaspora with his uplifting new single, ‘Joy Within My Soul’, which is enjoying strong radio rotation while delivering a timely message of hope and resilience.

The entertainer is also receiving solid support for his lovers’ rock single, Feel So Right, demonstrating his versatility as he continues to build momentum internationally. Brooky Danger said Joy Within My Soul was inspired by the challenges people face daily and his desire to encourage listeners to remain positive despite life’s obstacles.

“I want people to be motivated to go about their daily life,” he said.

Originally from Jamaica but now based in New York, the reggae singer said living overseas has broadened his perspective and strengthened his songwriting.

“It has widened my knowledge base, so I am able to see more, so I have more to write about,” he said.

Although Joy Within My Soul carries a powerful message of hope, Brooky Danger said optimism has always been part of who he is, making the release a natural reflection of his outlook on life. He said the response has exceeded expectations, with both singles gaining traction on radio in Jamaica and overseas.

“The response has been overwhelming, hence I have been very busy putting things together,” he said.

While pleased with the support, the artiste opined that conscious reggae deserves greater exposure, noting that audiences often gravitate toward more negative themes.

Influenced by Bounty Killer and Buju Banton, Brooky Danger said he is already working on new music.

“My long-term goals are to be touring and helping as many people as possible.”
