Two St Thomas morgue attendants are facing weapons charges following an incident on Miami Lane, Yallahs, in the parish on October 9.

Omari Garrison, 30, of Heartease, and Romario Bonner, 30, of South Heaven, have been charged with use of a firearm to commit a felony, assault at common law, possession of a prohibited weapon and assaulting a female. Reports from the Morant Bay police are that at 9:15 p.m., a woman was standing outside her house when Garrison and Bonner alighted from a motor vehicle. Garrison then grabbed and dragged the woman, causing her pain. A man attempted to intervene when he was approached by Bonner who pulled a firearm from his waistband and pointed it at him. Garrison and Bonner later fled the scene.

A report was made to the police and a search was conducted at Bonner's premises where one black imitation firearm was found. Bonner was then arrested and taken into custody. Garrison later turned himself in to the police and both men were subsequently charged on Monday. Their court date is being finalised.
