Tourist dies at St Ann hotel

Detectives assigned to the St Ann's Bay police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a foreign national at a prominent hotel in St Ann on Saturday, October 27.

Dead is 32-year-old Kendall Haynes of Carib Avenue, New York, United States of America.

According to the Constabulary Communications Unit, about 12:20 a.m., Haynes went to a party held on the fourth floor of the hotel, when it was alleged that he fell from the balcony. He was subsequently found by a security officer, who was doing a routine check of the premises.

He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
